Sherlock Holmes

I just got started with watching a TV Series: This is like no other show.

SHERLOCK HOLMES it is...

I am through the episode 0, which is an unaired pilot,

The first episode reminded me of three things,

1) Whats obvious is what is most difficult to see.
2) If you pay close attention to things, you can learn far more without even exchanging words, all you have to trade is your attention for information.
3) Passion doesn't walk alone, It comes with Focus, Energy and Determination.

Can computers out do humans?

It takes humans to build computers still, but we are talking about times when computers know to build themselves.

Are we talking about AI? No, AI is an old fashion.

We are talking about a much more interesting subject - We are talking about computers that with the help of Engineering and Machine learning, thinks, behaves and acts like a 4 year old. From then on, it builds knowledge and has questions just like a 4 year old. Learns about the world around by observation. Establishes common sense by itself.

A computer today knows Differential calculus, but the computer hasn't learnt that. The computer knows, because it was fed with it.

We are talking about computers that understand and see things around just like humans does.

I just got started with a book on the subject, "When Computers can think" - by Anthony Berglas. It is an awesome piece of work put together.

Lets find out if it's got answers to questions that I have in my mind.

I'm back!

I have been a bit on and off, and I haven't been writing much in the last couple of years but, I haven't paused on my reading all the while. I am back to write about the most exciting things that are happening in the world of technology.

From 2013 to 2015 this world of tech has got a major makeover. From churning out mind blowing spectrum of products to major company acquisitions. Foes turn friends, friends turn foes and Giants gone non existent, surprising as it may sound as a technology person one will react to this as if its barely a surprise.

Laws of physics apply invariably to all the creatures in the planet, so is the laws of business that is applied to every single company in this world. A company that doesn't impress people will not make money, a company that doesn't make money will not sustain for long.

Complex as the world is getting, we are at a point where the simple solution isn't simple enough. People are working hard and hard to make the life of their patronage simpler, they are ready to bear all the levels of complexity. Then there are people who thinks of the lives of these people who work to make other people's life simple and they work to make these people's life simpler. Thus we on a giant wheel, trying to make each other life simple. This applies to even companies, any two companies exist because they care about each other to make money and also to be relevant.

That is business in the world of technology, Anyways, too much for a return-back post :)
