Sherlock Holmes

I just got started with watching a TV Series: This is like no other show.

SHERLOCK HOLMES it is...

I am through the episode 0, which is an unaired pilot,

The first episode reminded me of three things,

1) Whats obvious is what is most difficult to see.
2) If you pay close attention to things, you can learn far more without even exchanging words, all you have to trade is your attention for information.
3) Passion doesn't walk alone, It comes with Focus, Energy and Determination.

Can computers out do humans?

It takes humans to build computers still, but we are talking about times when computers know to build themselves.

Are we talking about AI? No, AI is an old fashion.

We are talking about a much more interesting subject - We are talking about computers that with the help of Engineering and Machine learning, thinks, behaves and acts like a 4 year old. From then on, it builds knowledge and has questions just like a 4 year old. Learns about the world around by observation. Establishes common sense by itself.

A computer today knows Differential calculus, but the computer hasn't learnt that. The computer knows, because it was fed with it.

We are talking about computers that understand and see things around just like humans does.

I just got started with a book on the subject, "When Computers can think" - by Anthony Berglas. It is an awesome piece of work put together.

Lets find out if it's got answers to questions that I have in my mind.
